Pioneering mentoring scheme to increase senior gender diversity

Actuaries are being invited to join a pioneering mentoring scheme designed to improve diversity at senior levels within the profession. Research by the IFoA has demonstrated that non-retiring female actuaries leave the profession at the average age of 40 – some 13 years earlier than their male counterparts. The scheme seeks to address this by offering female mentees ongoing career advice and support for the duration of the programme.
