Membership survey: we want to hear from you

Open-access content Wednesday 4th November 2020

By now, you should have received an email inviting you to take part in our 2020 member survey.

We want to hear from you

We want you to share your views and tell us how we are currently performing, so that we can make improvements to support you more effectively as we continue to transform our member experience. We hope you will also tell us if you need more, or different, support from the IFoA during the current pandemic.

In our previous 2018 and 2019 member surveys, you told us that you wanted us to listen to members, be more relevant and responsive, and deliver improved member experience and member value. We have responded, making changes to ensure your IFoA membership is providing the support and value you need as we deliver on our promise to be a progressive, modern and reflective professional body.

During the past year we have delivered some of the improvements that you said were most important to you. We have launched a more flexible, outcomes-focused CPD scheme and opened up new opportunities for you to develop your skillset with our Certificate in Data Science. COVID-19 has also driven some rapid member-focused changes, including moving our examinations and events fully online in order to ensure you have access to the career progression and resources you need during the global pandemic. We have also reaffirmed our commitment to a member-centric culture and to transforming your member experience through our Member Pledge and our new Strategy 2020-2024 (bit.ly/3jhKZGs). You can read about more of the improvements we have made as a result of your feedback on the IFoA website (bit.ly/3dRvQe3).

The 2020 member survey is an important opportunity for you to let us know how useful you find your membership and how satisfied you are with your member experience. Your feedback will help us to understand whether your IFoA membership is delivering value for you and will be used to shape our future strategic direction and day-to-day decision-making.

Our online 2020 member survey will be open until 20 November – please make sure you take this opportunity to let us know your views. If you haven’t received your email and survey link, please contact [email protected]
