Obituary: Rebecca Cardew Martin

Rebecca Cardew Martin (FFA 2003) sadly passed away on 21 October 2019 at the age of 43. She had been diagnosed with an aggressive liver cancer just three weeks earlier.

Rebecca read Mathematics at St Andrews, graduating in 1998 and then went on to Standard Life, where she trained and achieved Fellowship in 2003. She continued to work at Standard Life until 2011, latterly specialising in mortality and longevity research.

She leaves her husband, Richard H Cardew Martin (also FFA 2003), their son Hector and daughter Anouk, aged six and four respectively.
