On 18 December 2018, the Worshipful Company of Actuaries held its carol service jointly with seven other Livery Companies, at the Church of St Bartholomew-the-Great in Smithfield. The service followed the 'Nine Lessons and Carols' format. Each lesson was read by one of the Company Masters present, with our own Nick Salter reading the fifth; the final lesson was read by the rector.
After the service, most of us made the short walk (in the rain!) to Haberdashers' Hall for turkey and all the trimmings. This was a wonderful evening and set us all up in the mood for Christmas.
