IFoA launches pilot scheme for outcomes-focused CPD

Open-access content Monday 8th October 2018 — updated 5.50pm, Wednesday 29th April 2020

The IFoA has launched a pilot to investigate how an outcomes-focused CPD scheme might benefit our members.

Outcomes-focused CPD is gaining recognition across sectors as better able to take account of CPD scheme participants' current roles, specialisms and individual needs. The pilot scheme should also ease some of the regulatory burdens placed on the QAS accredited organisations and their IFoA members.

The pilot scheme is being trialled by seven firms accredited under the IFoA's Quality Assurance Scheme (QAS). The CPD scheme pilot will run for two years. If the pilot is successful, the scheme may be rolled out to all QAS firms.

Find out more about the pilot scheme here.
