Four members of the Pension Protection Funds actuarial team will be running the Ealing half marathon on 30 September in memory of their friend and colleague Stephen Rice.

Stephen was the PPF's chief actuary for more than 10 years, starting at its inception in 2005, but sadly passed away on 1 October 2017. Lisa McCrory, Andrea Collins, Paul Reece and Thulasie Ranganathan are the brave four to tackle the event, which coincides with the first anniversary of Stephen's death.
Stephen was a very supportive colleague and friend, always encouraging us to push ourselves. He also had an incredible sense of humour and intellect, and always had a kind word to say about everyone. He was a master of his art and was especially skilled at explaining complex actuarial concepts to those with no actuarial background. Most of all, though, he was a great friend who was a delight to work with. We all miss him greatly.
We would like to say a massive thank you to all those who have supported us so far. If you would like to donate, our fundraising page can be found at www.justgiving.com/Andrea-Collins5. All donations will go to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which supported Stephen and his family enormously during his illness.
