Women make up 23% of the core STEM occupations in the UK, and 24% of those working in core STEM industries.
There were 61,430 more women working in core STEM in 2017 than there were in 2016, but there is still a lot of work to be done in order to carry on growing this number.
We are hosting our 'Girls - Count Us In' event, the first in a series of such events, designed to promote diversity in the profession.
It will appeal to girls who are interested in pursuing careers in STEM - and therefore, potentially, careers as actuaries.
The 'Girls - Count Us In' event is taking place on 7 November 2018 in our Edinburgh offices. If you are interested in presenting at it, please get in touch at: [email protected]
