Other Half Club looks forward to 30th anniversary year

Open-access content Wednesday 7th March 2018 — updated 5.50pm, Wednesday 29th April 2020

On 10 November 2017, members of the Other Half Club met at the Café du Marché, Charterhouse Square, for the first dinner of the winter. The dinner marked the change of officials, with Lesley Dumbreck being succeeded by Mary Pomery as chair, and Lesley Birse by Juliet Smith as secretary. The outgoing officials were warmly thanked and good wishes were extended to the new incumbents. The provisional date for the next dinner is 12 March and further events will be announced shortly.

2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Other Half Club, and it has grown from just 20 members meeting for dinners, to over 70, with many more daytime events, mainly in London. Events are chosen and arranged by officials, who are in post for two years, and tend to reflect their personal interests. We've enjoyed golf days, theatre visits, guided walks, boat trips and tours around historic buildings.

We are a friendly group of women with varied careers and interests. If you're the wife or partner of an actuary and would like to join us, email [email protected]
