A craic-ing start for the SAI student committee

At Christmas, the new student committee of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland (SAI) held their first social event since taking the reins in October 2017. Over 100 students and recent qualifiers gathered at the Capitol Lounge, Dublin, where they were greeted with food platters and drinks tokens for festive cocktails to get everyone into the Christmas spirit.

A Facebook competition was held in advance, with three winners chosen on the night. The lucky three were Gary Daly, Martin Hyland and Aine Phelan, who were each treated to a bottle of prosecco, courtesy of Capitol Lounge. A great night was had by all, and we'd like to thank Capitol for running the event.

Pictures of the night can be found on our Student Society of Actuaries in Ireland Facebook page. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended this event and the past events that the previous committee of 2016/2017 organised. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for upcoming 2018 events.

Your SAI student committee for 2017/18 comprises:

Co-chairs: Charlie McAnea and Cian Breathnach

Treasurer: Aveen Connolly

Communications officer:

Teresa Ruiz Pavon

Committee members: Ben Dennesen, Alisha Walsh and Ruaidhri Doolan.
