Does your organisation have a CPD co-ordinator?

The IFoA encourages organisations that employ at least three qualified actuaries to appoint a continuing professional development (CPD) co-ordinator. Andrew Blain of Willis Towers Watson and nine other CPD co-ordinators have created a three-minute film to encourage more firms to adopt this recommendation.

They have found having a co-ordinator to be very beneficial. But don't take our word for it. Hear what they have to say in their three-minute film (bit.ly/2m2zxDI).

In November, the annual CPD co-ordinators' briefing was held. This year we filmed the event, to enable all CPD co-ordinators, wherever they are based, to have access to the presentations.

Topics covered included an update on the IFoA strategy, a new approach to CPD, new professional skills material, key changes to personal and professional development (PPD), and an introduction to life-long learning.

The presentations have now been uploaded to the members' virtual learning environment, where they are displayed as modules.

Members can either watch them, in the order they are displayed, or dip in and out of the topics.

CPD hours can be claimed directly when viewing these presentations. Once you have logged in, you can view them within the CPD co-ordinators annual briefing section of the virtual learning environment.
