The IFoA Awards Dinner took place at Staple Inn Hall, London, on 23 March. Hosted by president Colin Wilson, the dinner celebrated success and excellence in academic achievement and research.

The IFoA Awards Dinner took place at Staple Inn Hall, London, on 23 March. Hosted by president Colin Wilson, the dinner celebrated success and excellence in academic achievement and research.
David Martin (above) was presented with the prestigious Finlaison Medal for his services in professional regulation and international engagement. Guests also heard from Honorary Fellow Professor Tom Kirkwood CBE, as the after-dinner speaker.
Two best paper prizes were awarded. The Geoffrey Heywood Prize went to the Getting Better Judgement Working Party (bit.ly/2bNGuFL). The Brian Hey Prize went to the IFoA's and Casualty Actuarial Society's joint International Pricing Research Working Party (bit.ly/2rifjGb). It is donating its prize money to STEM From Dance (US) and First Love Foundation (UK).
