Your chance to support your actuarial regional community: select yours before 10 April

Open-access content Tuesday 7th March 2017 — updated 5.50pm, Wednesday 29th April 2020

The IFoA will provide £5 per annum for IFoA members active within an actuarial regional community.

The IFoA will provide £5 per annum for IFoA members active within an actuarial regional community.

This will enable regional communities to develop and increase their range of events, speakers and networking opportunities, generally expand continuing professional development (CPD) output in their region, and contribute to lifelong learning.

To make this happen, we need all members to select their actuarial regional community by visiting actuaries.org.uk/regional-subsidy, and following the instructions online.

This year's nominations window will remain open until Monday 10 April. After this, the total amount due to each community will be calculated and paid to the community.

If you don't nominate your community by 10 April, it won't benefit from this £5 subsidy, so make your nomination count.

What if I don't have a community near me?

Communities are member-led groups that work together to provide activities and support to actuaries in their area. If this is something you think you might be interested in establishing, please email regions manager Tess Joyce. [email protected]
