Members of the awarding committee were impressed with her fundraising and help in Africa for Gambia Upcountry Development, which was reported in the March 2011 issue of The Actuary magazine.
As winner, Spencer has been invited to one of the WCA's livery dinners, at which she will be presented with a certificate, a cup or salver to be kept for one year and a cheque for the Gambia Upcountry Development from The Company of Actuaries Charitable Trust.
In addition, for this year's winner only, there will be a special lunch as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
