Griffin to head up actuarial team at Ariel Reinsurance

Keith Griffin has been promoted to senior vice president – actuary at Ariel Reinsurance and will now head up its actuarial team.

Mr Griffin has been with Ariel Reinsurance in Bermuda since 2009. Goldman Sachs is currently acquiring Ariel's Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance operations, and will combine them with its existing business, underwritten through Lloyd's Syndicate 1910.

Under the acquisition the business will operate as part of Goldman Sachs Reinsurance Group under the brand name of Ariel Reinsurance, or Ariel Re.
