Ms Nash (pictured) is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and joins from Towers Watson, where she worked as a benefits consultant.

She has advised both corporate and trustee clients on statutory actuarial valuations, along with bespoke projects and has experience of a broad range of projects relating to the management of pension schemes.

Richard Butcher, managing director of Pitmans Trustees, said: "Our goal at PTL is to be innovative and proactive in helping our clients to resolve their DB legacy issues and to help deliver good member outcomes and create an environment where members of DC arrangements can make informed choices. [Kim's appointment is] great news for us and, more importantly, for clients because [her] skills and expertise will prove invaluable to us going forward as we strive to continue delivering these objectives."

Ms Nash added: "I am really pleased to be joining PTL at such an exciting time for the firm as it looks ahead to a new era of pensions and the industry in general, which is facing more challenges than ever before. Providing the best service possible to clients is something close to my heart and I'm looking forward to developing this further in my new role."
