On 25 May 2022 the Adjudication Panel considered an allegation of misconduct against Mr Bronstein (the respondent).
The panel found evidence to support the allegation that: he sent emails containing unencrypted member data and/or company intellectual property from his work email address to his personal email address; and he intended to use this information for purposes that were not related to his current employment, to assist him in a new role at a different firm. This was found to be in breach of his employer’s Information Security Policy and Personal Ethics Guide. He was employed by Isio.
The panel determined that the conduct was in breach of the principles of integrity and compliance in the Actuaries’ Code (version 3.0) and disclosed a prima facie case of misconduct.
The panel considered all relevant information and was satisfied that the appropriate and proportionate sanction in this case was a reprimand and a fine of £3,500.
