On 25 May 2022, the Adjudication Panel considered an allegation of misconduct against Mr Copley (the respondent).
The panel found evidence to support the allegation that he drove or used a motor vehicle on a public road contrary to: section 5(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
The panel determined that the conduct was in breach of the principle of compliance in the Actuaries’ Code (version 3.0) and disclosed a prima facie case of misconduct.
The panel considered all relevant information and was satisfied that the appropriate and proportionate sanction in this case was a reprimand.
