"AAS journal seeks new editor-in-chief"

Open-access content Wednesday 8th July 2020

Annals of Actuarial Science (AAS) is looking for a new editor-in-chief to take up the post from January 2021.

AAS, a flagship publication for the IFoA, with an international profile, has become a well-established and respected journal since its first publication in 2006. The current editor-in-chief, Professor Angus Macdonald (Heriot Watt University; right), has held this position since 2008 and has decided to step down from the role. We are therefore seeking an outstanding candidate as his successor to work with colleagues from the IFoA, its publishing partner and the Editorial Board to shape and deliver the journal’s continuing development. As we prepare to increase publication to three issues a year and develop a programme of themed special issues, the new editor-in-chief will join at an exciting time.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 26 July. For a full task and person specification and details of how to apply, view the vacancy on the IFoA website at bit.ly/2MPWcAh. If you would like to discuss the role informally with the current editor-in-chief, he would welcome enquiries – details are provided in the vacancy advert.
