Actuary of the future: Richard Cohen

Employer and area of work

PruHealth, product development.

How would your best friend describe you?
Talkative, honest, genuine, funny and probably quite eccentric and crazy. But that’s only if my direct debit goes through.

What motivates you?
The desire to learn more about anything and everything.

What would be your personal motto?
Live life to the most every day.

Who do you admire most and why?
To be clichéd, I would have to say my mum. Whenever I think about getting through my studies and work at the same time I remember that she did the same, but with five children running riot around the house.

What is your most ‘actuarial’ habit?
I can be a bit of a perfectionist. Things need to be done a certain way. My most ‘actuarial’ feature is my receding hairline at 25.

How do you relax away from the office?
By either heading out for a long run or else grabbing a few bottles of red wine and inviting my friends over.

Tell us something unusual about yourself
I was born on April Fool’s Day. Oh, and I am a triplet.

If you ruled the world, what would you change first?
Education. I believe people become empowered through education.
