Professional News: Faculty welcomes honorary fellows

The Faculty welcomed the following people as honorary fellows:
>> Professor Alex McNeil, Maxwell professor of mathematics at Heriot Watt University. A former assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at ETH Zurich, he holds a BSc in mathematics from Imperial College, London and a PhD in mathematical statistics from Cambridge University. He has published papers in leading statistics, economics, finance and insurance mathematics journals and is a regular speaker at international risk management conferences.

>> Rob Curtis, of the Financial Services Authority. He is heavily involved with the International Actuarial Association (IAA) and heads the FSA’s international insurance policy team within the wholesale and prudential standards division. He is also responsible for all life and non-life prudential policy, including technical input to Solvency II, ICAS and Lloyd’s.
