Pensions actuaries consider different worlds

‘Different Worlds’ is the theme of this year’s pensions convention, based on the two regulatory regimes that pensions actuaries will face over the next year.

Nick Dumbreck, Institute president, and Stewart Ritchie, Faculty president, will take this theme as their address, and Charles Cowling, pensions area executive committee chairman, will set out the committee’s perspective.

Workshop sessions will include:
>> financial economics
>> enhanced transfer values
>> risk-based funding and solvency for pensions
>> hedging longevity
>> designing a decommissioning roadmap.

The total number of hours of CPD claimable for the convention is 9.45. The convention is also eligible for CPD accreditation by the PMI — to a maximum of 13.30 hours. Y
