Lady actuaries of the UK unite!

Just before going to press, we have received disturbing news from the Chartered Management Institute – women working in actuarial/insurance roles are among the least likely to enjoy pay parity with their male colleagues. The survey indeed purports to show that actuarial and insurance roles are less well paid that roles in research and development and IT, where pay is substantially equal to that of male counterparts.

We intend to dig below the surface of this disturbing comparison – watch for more on this in the January/February 2004 issue.
