Gavin Palmer and Miriam Bell join KPMG actuarial teams

KPMG has announced details of two new actuarial recruits.

Gavin Palmer has joined as a partner in the firm’s life actuarial team. Mr Palmer has experience in the transaction and restructuring market. and particular expertise in life insurance company transactions and flotations, with-profits restructuring, risk-linked securities and retirement risk transfer transactions services throughout Europe. Mr Palmer joins KPMG from Towers Watson where he was a managing director for 11 years, and previously worked at London and Manchester Assurance.

Miriam Bell is the latest hire in KPMG’s Gatwick team, which has grown by 11 members over the past year. Ms Bell is a qualified actuary with experience in the mutual life assurance sector, performing valuations, ICAs and FCRs. She also has experience in advising clients on preparing for Solvency II. Ms Bell joins from the insurance domain of Oliver Wyman, where she worked for over eight years, and was previously employed by Lehman Brothers.
