Who do you admire most and why?
My parents for raising me so well. Well, I think I turned out alright.

What is your most ‘actuarial’ habit?
I can’t think of anything and am now worried that I don’t have any...

How do you relax away from the office?
Meet up with friends, watch films, visit interesting new places. I generally try to make the most of free time. Being a recent graduate, it has been hard adjusting to working life!

Alternative career choice?
Being a judge on the X-Factor.

Tell us something unusual about yourself
My height — I’m four feet nine!

What’s your most treasured possession?
My three-year old iPod — it is so large compared to the ones that are out now, that I have been asked whether I am in construction.

Greatest risk you have ever taken?
Featuring as Actuary of the Future in The Actuary.

If you ruled the world, what would you change first?
I would make sure that all people have heard of the word ‘actuary’ and can define it. That would allow me to outlaw the question ‘what is an actuary?’
