Actuaries stake their claim in pensions personality running

The shortlist for Professional Pensions magazine’s ’Pensions Personality of the Year’ award was announced yesterday, and members of the actuarial profession will be delighted to find themselves well represented with half the nominees.

Ronnie Bowie, Stuart Southall and Kevin Wesbroom all make the shortlist of six, and some might include The Pensions Trust’s Stephen Nicholls who did a stint as a trainee actuary at LCP early in his career.

Congratulations and best of luck to the nominees.

- Ronnie Bowie, president, Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and senior partner, Hymans Robertson
- Stuart Southall, chairman, Association of Consulting Actuaries and chairman, Punter Southall
- Kevin Wesbroom, managing principal, Aon Hewitt
- Stephen Nichols, chief executive, The Pensions Trust
- Henry Tapper, director, First Actuarial
- Mike Sullivan, president, Pensions Management Institute and head of employee benefits and pensions, Veolia UK

The winner of the Award will be decided by a poll of guests at the UK Pensions Awards prizegiving dinner on 5 May.
