The IFoA Foundation needs you

Open-access content Thursday 4th May 2023
joi

The IFoA Foundation is the IFoA’s independent charity. We rely on donations from members and supporters of the profession to promote our community, reward excellence and address future challenges.

Any donations are gratefully received and will allow the IFoA Foundation to continue its impactful work across the globe. Here are some fundraising ideas.

Mark a special occasion

Celebrate that new job, retirement, wedding or birthday by asking for donations to help the next generation.

Take on a team challenge

Whether it’s a run, bake sale, skydive or raffle, join colleagues to raise funds for actuaries facing financial hardship.

Leave a legacy

By remembering the Foundation in your will, you’ll foster the chances of those who face fewer opportunities.

Renew and give

When you renew your membership, ‘give back’ at the same time.

Join our philanthropic community

Gifts of more than £1,000 make a serious difference to the number of young people, aspiring actuaries and members of our community with whom we can engage. Join as a philanthropist today and increase our power to make an impact.

Gift Aid is a simple way to increase your donation’s value. If you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim 25p from the government for every £1 donated. Please complete a Gift Aid Declaration and help us do more.

If you would like to discuss how to get involved, or have a question about the Foundation, please contact [email protected]

The impact you could have…n;

£1,000 provides an actuarial student facing financial hardship with IFoA membership, study and career support to pursue qualification

£3,000 funds an undergraduate scholarship for a gifted student, enabling them to focus on their education and nurture their career ambitions

£5,000 powers mentoring to kickstart careers for a global group of recent graduates facing barriers to the profession

£10,000 enables annual support of projects promoting maths and actuarial careers to school pupils across the UK
