
The jobs market in the UK’s insurance sector is booming, according to the latest research.
The demands of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues are driving insurance firms to bolster their corporate governance teams, according to a report by insurance recruitment specialist Harrison Holgate and labour market data analysts Vacancysoft.
A total of 12,688 jobs were advertised between January and October in 2022, with vacancies expected to break 15,000 once the final quarter is factored in. The research estimates a year-on-year growth of 59% in insurance jobs, compared to 2021.
March was the peak month for insurance vacancies, with 1,430 jobs posted. Vacancies for corporate governance jobs within the insurance sector peaked in the same month, with 448 new postings.
