IFoA seeks Diversity Action Group support volunteers

The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) is looking for members to join its new Diversity Action Group (DAG) volunteer group as it aims to create and support an inclusive environment within the profession.

The DAG – formerly known as the Diversity Advisory Group – is a member interest group that works collaboratively with the IFoA's leadership team to build awareness and understanding of diversity.

It does this by working on campaigns, events, mentoring and data collection initiatives that help the IFoA implement its strategic diversity objectives.

Volunteers who join the new group will receive information about these activities in the planning stage, and have the opportunity to participate and make a difference in the areas that resonate with them.

“I encourage all members of the IFoA to get involved – diversity is an issue for everyone and your experience, perspective and skills, whatever they may be, will be of real value,” said the DAG's chair, Chika Aghadiuno.

“The volunteer group we are launching is an easy way to support the work of the DAG, allowing you to pick and choose where and how you contribute and to add your voice.

“This is a platform to build a community to discuss, question, learn and to help us make progress. I look forward to engaging with as many of you as possible through this initiative.”

You can volunteer for this opportunity by emailing the IFoA's head of engagement, Debbie Atkins, on [email protected]
