Barnett Waddingham has been appointed by Birmingham Airport to provide actuarial, administration and employee benefits services for the Airport’s pension scheme.

The firm already provides investment services for the scheme and the new appointments have been in place since 1 April.

Commenting on the tender process, Joe Kelly, deputy CEO at Birmingham Airport praised Barnett Waddingham’s proposal in demonstrating a proactive, efficient, cost effective and high quality service.

“We look forwarding to building the relationship we already have with them,” he said.

Barnett Waddingham partner, Robert Hawkes, added: “We share the same values as the Airport, investing in people and systems.

"Our priority will be to ensure that the scheme’s members really appreciate their pension scheme and that we support the Trustees by being proactive and providing excellent value for money.”
