PricewaterhouseCoopers has appointed Guy Shepherd to lead its actuarial systems and modelling services. Shepherd joins PwC from Prudential, where he was head of actuarial and business intelligence systems, responsible for the IT programme underpinning Solvency II.
Mark Graham has been appointed to the newly created role of chief operating officer at Lloyd's insurer Antares. Graham joins from Acuitas Consulting. He is currently the chairman of the Lloyd's Market Association (LMA) Solvency II committee.
Milliman has appointed Colette Dunn to lead the expansion of its UK strategy consulting business. Dunn joins from KPMG, where she was a director in the insurance practice.
Colin Richardson has been appointed senior corporate consulting actuary at Buck Consultants to help lead its corporate consulting practice in the UK, including derisking. Richardson joins from JLT, where he developed corporate advisory business and solutions.
Dr Norval Bryson has been appointed deputy chairman of Scottish Widows Group, the legal entity of Lloyds Banking Group insurance division. He is also acting as interim chairman of Scottish Widows Group, which includes the Scottish Widows and Clerical Medical life businesses and the general insurance business Lloyds TSB General Insurance Limited. Bryson was appointed as a non-executive director of Scottish Widows in 2005.
LCP has promoted Carlos Corriea to principal. He joined LCP in 2000 and is head of the firm's risk benefit consulting team. Corriea has 20 years' experience of consulting and leads the team that provides specialist insurance broking, consultancy and administration services in the areas of death, disability and healthcare benefits.
LCP has also promoted five members of its actuarial consulting teams to partner.
Simon Coomber has worked in the pensions industry since 2000, advising a range of trustee and corporate clients. He specialises in managing large projects, from ongoing management of UK pension scheme liabilities to multinational benefit reviews. He is a member of LCP's pensions accounting group.
Lee Dodds has a strong focus on proactive, practical investment advice and setting and implementing investment strategy. He also advises clients on a wide range of investment issues, including asset switching mechanisms, investment manager selection, asset transfers and measurement of performance.
Ken Hardman advises trustee and corporate clients on all aspects of pension arrangements, with a particular focus on derisking. He is a member of LCP's specialist pension buyout practice.
Susan Brierley manages one of the four pensions actuarial teams, advising on funding strategy, liability management options and pension scheme accounting. As a member of the employee share plans team, she also advises on accounting for employee share plans under IFRS2.
Euan Reid joined LCP in 2004. He advises pension scheme trustees and sponsors on all strategic and day-to-day management issues. He is a member of LCP's Think Tank.
