Vijah Shah has been appointed as actuarial services
director in the London-based company’s corporate benefits division. Mr Shah has
15 years’ experience in the industry and has worked for three firms of
consulting actuaries in the past. Most recently he was at Punter Southall.
Meanwhile, Sheena Freestone has been hired by the company
as investment consulting director. She will be responsible for investment
consulting services provided to pension scheme trustees.
Ms Freestone joins Broadstone Pensions and Investment Ltd
from P-Solve Asset Solutions, where she was an investment consultant. She also
has prior experience at Standard Life and Scottish Widows.
The third new appointee, Kara Howlett, has joined as an
actuarial consultant in the company’s trust based pensions scheme. She
previously worked for the Government Actuary’s Department, where she worked for
four years in public sector pensions. Ms Howlett qualified as an actuary in
2011.
