Peter Redhead joins Aon Hewitt from JLT

Peter Redhead has joined Aon Hewitt as business leader for the North West, based in the firm’s Manchester office.

He joins the company after 16 years with the Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group, most recently as deputy chairman of its employee benefits division, and has held a number of senior roles covering pensions software and administration to actuarial and benefits consulting to both companies and trustees.

Mr Redhead (pictured) is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, he holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Bradford, and gained a first in Geography at Oxford.

"This is an exciting challenge," said Mr Redhead. "With Aon’s global sponsorship of Manchester United, the city and the North-West have become a focal point for the company, reflecting the area’s vibrancy and re-energised business community. I am looking forward to making the most of the opportunities ahead."

Michael Clare, UK head of retirement for Aon Hewitt, added: "Peter has a record of high achievement and market-leading insight within a wide range of areas in the pensions and benefits industry. I am delighted that he has chosen to join Aon Hewitt and I am confident that he will give us the intellect, personal drive and leadership to propel our business forward."

In his spare time, Mr Redhead is a keen and active skier, ironman, fell runner and cyclist who has achieved success in several international endurance events, as detailed in The Actuary [’Ironman Redhead raises the bar’”.
