Peter Ball to become MD of JLT Investment Solutions

The move, which is subject to FSA approval, will see Mr Ball join the Executive Board of JLT where he will assume responsibility for the Investment Management and Investment Consulting business areas.

Prior to joining JLT, Mr Ball was head of UK Institutional Business at JP Morgan Asset Management, a position he held for 13 years, and, before that, was head of DC business at Fidelity Investments. Mr Ball has also been a senior consultant at Towers Perrin and is a qualified actuary.

Duncan Howorth, CEO, JLT, said: "We are delighted that Peter has decided to join us and we see this as an endorsement of our strong position in the market. He is a well-known and well-respected figure in the industry and his experience in institutional asset management is ideally suited to the development of our investment management solutions to clients through Implemented Consulting and DC Default funds."

Mr Ball said: "The pensions and investments landscape continues to evolve rapidly, making investment decisions more challenging for all. I am, therefore, delighted to be joining such a forward-thinking consultancy; we have an excellent platform for growth and I look forward to helping build further JLT's investment proposition."
