Pensions risk expert Dicker joins PwC team

Mr Dicker is a specialist in pensions risk management, having advised on many market transactions including the first £1bn+ buy-in for the Cable & Wireless Superannuation Fund and the first ever pension scheme longevity swap for Babcock.

He joins from Goldman Sachs, prior to which he spent over a decade as a pensions partner with Watson Wyatt (now Towers Watson).

Raj Mody, head of pensions at PwC, said: "Dealing with pensions risk remains a priority issue for many businesses and we are seeing strong appetite for new and smarter ways of dealing with the challenges. Steven Dicker cements our leading position in this market, and brings a proven track record of advising on some particularly innovative deals."

Among PwC's other recent senior hires is Karein Davie, a qualified actuary who joins from Hymans Robertson to focus on advising scheme funding, liability management and benefit design.

Recently qualified actuaries Nadeem Ladha and Finlay Stewart are also among the new recruits. Mr Ladha joins from Hymans Robertson and specialises in pension risk management with particular emphasis on the financial utilities sectors; and Mr Stewart comes to PwC from Aon Hewitt. He will provide a range of corporate pensions consulting services.
