KPMG boosts pensions presence in the South

KPMG has expanded its pension team with the appointment of a director to its South of England team from Towers Watson.

Philip Baker was a senior consultant at Towers Watson and has more than 20 years' experience advising on defined benefit schemes of organisations from small companies to large complex multinationals.

Also joining the South of England team is Greg Wright who is moving from the firm's Birmingham office.

Mr Wright is an actuary and investment adviser, working across DB and defined contribution schemes.

KPMG Reading partner Andrew Coles said the appointments demonstrated the firm's commitment to its pension advisory team across the UK.

"Philip and Greg are high calibre professionals who have significant experience of helping clients to identify and mitigate risk, providing practical advice to help them proactively deal with the range of complex pension issues and opportunities facing companies and trustees."
