Oxford Student Pranks

Richard Smith, research and information services administrator of the Actuarial Profession, based in Napier House, Oxford, recently took part in a WHSmith book signing as author of Oxford Student Pranks. In his book, Richard recalls some of the greatest stunts and practical jokes in Oxford University’s history, including those by Oscar Wilde, Percy Shelley, T.E. Lawrence and Richard Burton. He also explores the long-running rivalry between town and gown and includes stories centred on well-known Oxford landmarks.
