Institute honorary fellows

At the annual general meeting of the Institute of Actuaries on 30 June 2003 the following were elected as honorary fellows of the Institute:

  • Professor Richard Blundell, professor of economics at University College, London;
  • Bob Conger, past president of the Casualty Actuarial Society;
  • Professor Patrick Godfrey, strategic relations development director for Halcrow;
  • The Right Hon Lord Hunt of Wirral, senior partner of Beachcroft Wansbroughs, solicitors;
  • Professor Julian Peto, chairman of the section of epidemiology at the Institute of Cancer Research;
  • Professor Chris Rogers, professor of statistical science at Cambridge University.

In selecting the individuals to put forward to the membership for election, Institute Council considered their credentials in depth. The six individuals elected to honorary fellowship are all extremely eminent in their field and judged by Council to be thoroughly worthy of the honour.
