SIAS events calendar

Saturday 4 July
Five-a-side football tournament
Powerleague,
Private Banks Sports Ground,
Canadian Avenue,
Catford,
London SE6 4SW
12.00pm

After your good results on 3 July and that little celebration afterwards, there is no better way to work off the excess from the night before than to take part in the SIAS 5-a-side football tournament. On the off-chance that your results were not quite as expected, then consider the tournament as the ideal way to work off that frustration on the pitch.

Teams of up to seven people can be entered for £50 per team (plus £5 per non-SIAS member). Football fans, why not come and experience the best football tournament in Catford... in July. If you would like to enter please contact iain.ritchie@hewitt.com

Tuesday 21 July
Limitations of quantitative risk management
Staple Inn Hall,
5.30pm for 6pm start

Con Keating will give a presentation concerned with uncertainty, risk and risk modelling. He will attempt to place many of the various interpretations and approaches to uncertainty and risk, together with their shortcomings, in context. In particular, he considers the role of time and uncertainty rather than risk in market-based financial management. There is no need to register for this event in advance. A buffet supper will be provided at the Cittie of Yorke pub after the meeting.
